Ludivine Allegue is a painter and a visual artist. Her work questions the nature and constitution of both individuality and conscience, through her approach of intimate and collective memory.

During her PhD, she worked for several years with internationally acclaimed sculptor Jaume Plensa whose work she analyzed in her PhD thesis.

Her experimental short film Sama with dancer and comedian Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam (former resident of the Théâtre National de la Comédie Française in Paris) that makes the viewer enter the dancer’s experience in a stunning vision shot from the eye of the dance, was presented in Europe, North America and China at different festivals, exhibitions and conferences.

Her collaborative work with vocal artist Yvon Bonenfant [B(earth), intimacies and Beacons] and experimental composer Julius Fujak [Wordless:] was exhibited at diverse galleries, museums and festivals in France, UK, Spain, Finland, Brazil, Slovakia, Italy.

During her residence at the Museo CAV La Neomudéjar, she developed her long term project on untold family and historical memories Le Maschere Nude and co-authored and realized interdisciplinary “Disorient” with performance artist Valentina Lacmanovic.

PhD in Arts from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, she is also an associated artist and researcher at the Esthétique de la performance et des arts du spectacle group, Institut A.C.T.E. – UMR 8218 (CNRS, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne; http://www.institut-acte.cnrs.fr/espas/). She was a research associate of the PARIP project, Practice as research in performance (http://www.bris.ac.uk/parip/) at the University of Bristol (UK): her work with British Choreographer Rosemary Lee the Suchness of Heni and Eddie has been released on DVD by ResCen and PARIP (http://www.rescen.net).

She writes theoretical essays on Art and has published books with l’Harmattan in France and Palgrave-Macmillan in UK.

 

Ludivine Allegue es pintora. Se licencia en Bellas Artes en las especialidades de pintura y fotografía y desarrolla un trabajo artístico interdisciplinario que se centra en particular en la esencia de la individualidad y la conciencia mediante una reflexión sobre la dualidad de la memoria: íntima y colectiva.

Trabajó en Barcelona con el escultor Jaume Plensa cuya obra analizó en una parte de su tesis doctoral. Colaboró con diferentes compositores e intérpretes entre los cuales el bailarín y actor Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam quien fue residente en el Teatro Nacional de la Comédie Française (París), el artista vocal canadiense Yvon Bonenfant con quien colaboró en 2007-08 en tres instalaciones que integran pintura, video y voz; y con el compositor experimental Julius Fujak en el proyecto “wordless:”.

Durante su residencia en el Museo CAV La Neomudéjar, desarrolló el proyecto interdisciplinario “Disorient” con la artista-performer Valentina Lacmanovic así como su proyecto a largo plazo sobre la(s) memoria(s) familiar(es) e histórica(s) silenciada(s) Le Maschere Nude.

Doctora de la Universidad Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris, Francia) también escribe ensayos teóricos sobre el arte y publicó libros con l’Harmattan en Francia y Palgrave Macmillan en el Reino Unido.
